WAR AND PEACE
Donald Trump doesn’t specify a specific plan, but he does plan to make some changes concerning war and peace if he becomes president. During the 2016 Republican Debate on the eve of the Texas Primary Trump said this statement after Marco Rubio claimed he agreed with POTUS on overthrowing Libya’s government, “We would be so much better off if Gadhafi were in charge right now(ontheissue.com). If these politicians went to the beach and didn't do a thing, and we had Saddam Hussein and if we had Gadhafi in charge, instead of having terrorism all over the place, at least they killed terrorists, all right?”(ontheissue.com). Trump has never really had a set idea on whether he is all for war or all for peace. For example in 2002 Trump said he opposed the invasion on Iraq, but his interview with Howard Stern told a different story. During that September 11, 2002 interview Donald Trump was directly asked if he supported the invasion of Iraq, his answer was, “Yeah I guess so… I wish the first time it was done correctly”(ontheissue.com). Months later after that interview, Donald Trump was in an interview with CNN and he stated, “I could have said that. I wasn't a politician. It was probably the first time anyone has asked me that question. By the time the war started, I was against it, and shortly thereafter, I was really against”(ontheissue.com).
